Switched it up...

I switched up the blog layout / design tonight... was getting tired of the left hand column, the clutter, and the narrow main body where the posts were displayed. I will still tweak this design over the next few days, but it's a start and already shows better on several different size screens.
In addition... if you didn't noticed, I updated the main banner a few days again - make sure you read the quote from Henry David Thoreau.
* I think I noted it before but I have complete and detailed running logs dating back to my sophomore year of high school. I am currently motivated enough to start digging through them - trying to find some hidden gems of workouts - as well as maybe once a week posting some of my top workouts that I have done over the years.
I plan to go chronologically... start in high school, through college, and then post-collegiately. It'll be interesting to see the evidence behind what I already assume I know... I ran much better workouts than races in college - however, I tend to run much better races than workouts now.
* The arrival of the U.S.S New York into New York City was pretty cool and inspirational to see and read about. The new battleship incorporated scrap metal (24 tons) from the World Trade Center into the construction and is named to honor the heroes of September 11th.I like these 'reminders' about the events of September 11th. That day like nothing else in my life opened my eyes... I grew up a lot that day and I think so did a lot of other young adults, as we as a generation, up to that point, never really had anything of that magnitude and devastation happen so close to 'home'.
