OAC... post withdrew

Saturday, November 7, 2009

Over the last 2 days I typed up a very lengthy post, expanding upon my thoughts that I initially noted in the comments I made here under a recent post.

Within this draft, I lay out statistics, historical data (I have a hard copy of all OAC results dating back to 1958), along with every case/reason/example I could make to back my thinking and my opinion.

But, after some thought, I have decided not to post the blog entry.  It would prove nothing - we can agree to disagree on somethings, and this is one of them... it's not like the OAC conference is going to change their system based on what I would present here anyways.

* Just for a bit of clarificaiton in regards to my October 31st post - since it seems to have rubbed a few people the wrong way - I was not showing any disrespect when I mentioned only Brian Gibbons’ OAC performance and no other.  Brian is a close, personal friend – that’s where the ‘congrats’ came from.

Please understand, this is not a blog that is based on covering collegiate running news and results… if it were, I would have given equal coverage to both the women’s and men’s conference results.

All I did was point out the accomplishments of a friend - and in the process of commenting, shed some light (my opinion) on an award system that I personal feel is flawed.  That is all.

* Timothy
