Only Thursday

It's been a very busy week and it is not even Friday yet (almost though). With travel and a ton of projects going on at work, I have plenty to keep me busy right now.

* My training seems to picking up a bit as well... I'm motivated right now, but still a bit out of fitness and no goals in sight.

Based on several factors, most work related, there is a 99.9% chance that there will be no Fall marathon for me... with late-September and mid-October work conference trips to Atlanta and Las Vegas planned, on top of my regular travel, it is just not feasible. And considering my inconsistent 2009, that could be a blessing in disguise to allow my fitness to come around properly, instead of trying to force it.

The downside to this though, what happens if I start clicking on all cylinders, like what happened last October... the flexibility to hop in a race last minute won't be there for me.

* The Cavs signed Athony Parker and re-signed Andy Varejao... and rumors are still circling that they are still in the running for Channing Frye. Considering who they have lost out on, at this point, I still think this has been a solid off season - taking into consideration the terms of the contracts as well.

in the end, it seems they couldn't afford to let Varejao go after losing out on some of the other options they were chasing. With an aging Shaq and Z... they needed a young 'vet' down low to give them a ton of minutes as Hickson and Jackson still develop and learn the game at both ends of the floor.
